A few funnies...

The other day, we were at church and Zander was looking out the window. Brother Tim and his family pulled up in their van right outside the window, and Zander started waving like crazy. Brother Tim never saw him, though.

I told Zander that he should tell Brother Tim that he's blind.

Zander replied, "Yeah, blind of hearing! I was knocking on the window and he didn't even know it!"

We bought the kids an old Disney CD full of funny songs. One of the songs is "Lou, Lou, Skip to my Lou." The first time Lucy heard this song she said, "Lulu? That's ME! This is my song, oh, it's all about me!"

Lord help us.

Lucy's newest phrase is "Oh my good, good, goodness!" She says it all.the.time. It's really quite cute.

It's Mama's Fault!

Jace has been really sick all week. Last night, he was lying in my bed and Parker was next to him. Jace was talking away to Parker and then he accidentally called Parker "Lucy." I couldn't help but giggle when I heard Jace tell Parker:

"I'm so sorry, Parker. I know you're not Lucy. Blame it on Mama. She's the one who had all these kids."

It's all my fault!

What was that?

I know, it's been awhile again. Life is crazy.... I'll just blame it on my 5 kids, church, work, and everything else. :)

I do have a funny to share, though.

Last week at VBS, the boys got whistles. Now, let it be known that I hate whistles. It takes me back to all the basketball games I fouled out of. I hated hearing that whistle then and I hate hearing them now.

Whenever the boys blow on their whistles in the house, I tell them, "Whistles are for outside."

Jace decided to blow his whistle last night and I told him, "Whistles are for outside." Ashley looked at me with the strangest look on her face and then asked me, "You did what?" When I repeated what I had said to Jace she said, "Oh! I thought you said that you sold our for sale sign."

Deaf and Blond. A deadly combination.

A few funnies for the past few days...

We were watching TV the other night, and a Papa John's Pizza commercial came on. They were promoting the new X-Men Beginnings movie and the new pizza they're offering. Zander turned to Gene and said, "Dad! You and Mom need to go to Papa John's and watch that movie first so that you know if Jace and I will be allowed to watch it."

(Gene and I always watch movies before we allow the kids to. It's been a rule since we've been married. Zander was convinced that you can only see the movie at Papa John's.)

On the way to church on Sunday morning, We asked Lucy what CD she wanted to listen to. She named one, then named another. She then said, "Oh, make up my mind!"

Lucy was full of funnies today!

It snowed off and on all day today. At one point, it was completely white outside. Lucy went running through the house yelling, "It's snowing! It's Christmas! Santa's Coming!!!" Poor kid is going to wake up so disappointed in the morning!

Lucy continued to get excited about the snow, and she was being really noisy. I asked her, "Lucy, what is Daddy doing?" Her response, "Sleeping." So I asked, "And what should you be doing?" She replied, "Being quiet." I asked, "Do you know how to be quiet?" To which she asked, "How?"

"When I grow up..."

Jace was mad at me this afternoon because I wouldn't let him do something that he wanted to do. He told me, "When I grow up, I'm going to do whatever I want to do!"

Zander jumped in and said, "Only if your wife says you can!"

Hey, Mommy!

This evening, Parker was having a screaming fit at church, so I took him and Lucy down to the nursery. Lucy has this weird habit that she has to put her hands up someone's sleeve and rub their arms. She'll do her own sleeves if she has to. Well, tonight, I was wearing a long sleeve shirt, and the sleeves were way too tight for her to get her arms inside. She had taken off her sweater and left it in the sanctuary, and her dress was sleeveless. That left only one pair of sleeves: Parker's!

She put her hands up Parker's sleeves, and it made him crazy. He HAS to suck on his hands at all times, and with her hands up his sleeves, he couldn't reach his mouth. He started screaming, and I said, "That crazy Lulu! What is she doing to you, you poor baby?!"

Lucy turned to me and snapped, "Hey, Mommy! My no crazy! Ashley crazy!"
